Ventura County Medical Center

Ventura County Medical Center opened the doors to its new hospital at the end of 2017. Our state of the art labor and delivery unit is designed to provide comprehensive compassionate care for women with low risk and high-risk pregnancies. Our high risk obstetrics specialists are available 24 hours a day if your pregnancy becomes complicated and our award-winning level III neonatal intensive care unit is just a few steps away. VCMC hospital has achieved the prestigious baby friendly designation for their commitment to supporting breast-feeding. VCMC hospital also consistently report the lowest cesarean section rate in Ventura County. Ventura County Medical Center  offers the option of vaginal birth after prior cesarean section (VBAC). 

VCMC boasts  the only pediatric hospitalist in the county and houses the county’s first and only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU)  VCMC’s family medicine residency is affiliated with UCLA and has been voted the top family medicine residency program in the United States.
